Today about 000 VZF01 Leviton 1LX

The Help captured me on the first page and never let go. The stories of the help and the ladies they work for were fascinating in their historical context while also being both fun and sad at the same time. It is a wonderful snapshot in time for the south. I highly recommend.

Do you really like Gift Gourmet Simply Indulgent ?

This is my first Ipod Touch and I love how it feels, it works, and the App Store. The last really makes it worth it. I hardly use the Music player except on long drives in the weekends. For which I got an over the FM streaming device that plugs into the ITouch.

Initially I had a couple of issues that bothered me no end. When I opened it out of the box and charged it through my computer running Windows XP, I noticed that the Itunes Store and Apps Store icons on the home screen were not there. After going through the manual and consulting with other Apple users at work, I realized that these icons come pre-installed and cannot be deleted. I called tech support and went through a complete firmware re-install that got these icons (took about 10-15 minutes). I lost a bunch of data but this was only one hassle of the re-installation process. More importantly I lost the Safari browser and Youtube icons after the re-install. At this point, I was tempted to return the Ipod to Amazon because I thought it was defective and that was the reason that Amazon was discounting it on its website. It was very frustrating because it was ruining the whole experience.

After a day or so, I reluctantly went through the firmware re-install process again myself (didn’t call tech support). Again lost all the data but this time everything started working. Took about 20-30 minutes because of all the data lost had to be synced again.

So, very frustrating first week but a great experience then after.

Wow! N USB Wireless Medialink

I ordered the Medialink to work with an Acer Revo we’ve integrated into our home entertainment system. The Revo is nice and works well, but I found its wireless card a bit weaker (and the resulting throughput a bit slower) than anticipated. I ordered the Medialink in hopes of getting a stronger signal and higher speed.

Results: Installation was a snap using the CD provided. The Revo does not have a CD drive, so having an external drive (via USB) is helpful. I disabled the Revo’s existing wireless connection before installation, although that was not something the instructions required and was probably not necessary. Following installation of the software, I plugged the wireless device into a USB port. Within moments, the device was up, running, and finding available networks (including mine) – with both signal strength and throughput improved significantly, i.e., to the levels desired. The Medialink can be plugged directly into a USB port, or it can be plugged into a dock that connects to a USB port. I used the dock, allowing me to position the device without behind blocked beyond other equipment.

Needless to say, I think highly of this product. It met my needs and expectations.

Artisan Quart Series 5 to you

I strongly recommend this mount to others.

Upon buying my gps, I was wary of buying a windshield mount because I occasionally park my car in urban areas and did not want a windshield ring to signal to others that my car might contain a GPS.

After deciding to buy this mount, I was uncertain how stable it actually would be, especially when I would make turns or stop short. I’m happy to say that the mount stays in place from my experience.

Additionally, the mount allows me to adjust the angle for viewing my GPS. Attachment and detachment are both simple. This is a great mount and I strongly advise others to consider it.

Today about Digital imonitor Mini Graco

We purchased this monitor while expecting. The purchase was on impulse from kids.woot, for well under the MSRP, and significantly less than is listed here (specifically, we paid $40). For that price, I think we got a great monitor. We had debated over getting a fancier one, but decided to wait and test this one out on our little girl before spending more money.

Pros:
- parent unit is really small and portable
- comes with accessories to make parent unit even more portable
- sound is really clear. It appears to pick up any noise, even a newborn making the tiniest squeak. This is even with the receiver about 6 feet away from the crib.
- you can expand with additional parent units
- has a vibrate function so you can keep track of the baby even in a loud environment
- battery life of parent unit is really long (haven’t tested its limits yet, but definitely more than just a few hours).
- range is good. We live in a 1400 sq ft house and the baby is at the opposite end of where we usually are – reception is really clear
- allows for channel changes in case of random interference (I have no idea why some models, besides the secure digital ones, do not allow for that)
- has a light display to visually alert you of sounds getting picked up (once again, I have no idea why some other models do not have this)
- does not appear to be affected by a ton of other electronics (we have a wireless N router, a wireless G router, a DECT phone system, and numerous other items that probably give off feedback)
- receiver has a cool blue night light built in

Cons:
- parent unit is not very loud, even with volume at the max. I cannot imagine putting the volume below the max.
- cannot purchase an additional parent unit on its own, you have to buy an entire other monitor and then sync up the units. I guess the idea here is that you typically don’t need more than one unit due to the portability factor.
- cannot use more than one of these within range of each other, as they try to autom

Crazy on and Synthesis Analysis Network

The Defender is a great product and offers a much higher level of protection than any other case I’ve seen, but it’s not foolproof. I have probably dropped my iphone about 20 times since got it in Nov. However, on Christmas eve I had it laying in my lap and stood up. My iphone dropped to the tile floor and when I picked it up the LCD screen was white with blue and red lines running the length of the screen on the right side. I took it to a repair shop and had to have the screen replaced. I too have the oil slick issue but its not a big deal to me. The biggest problem is the reason that I have dropped it so much is that every time I have it in the belt clip and happen to bump the belt clip even with my arm or hand the phone will fall out of the clip. Since the screen replacement and the belt clip issue I just carry it in my pocket. I work construction and have pretty much ruined or broken every phone I’ve had, but thought that this case would maybe help this one survive. Sorry folks but the jury is still out.
