This is an awesome pedometer. It is accurate, easy to use, resets itself to zero at midnight and most importantly, placement is NOT limited to your waist. Because it doesn’t use the more common pendulum type movement, this reads or senses movement in a variety of positions. It will accurately read steps when placed on your ankle, in your pocket, purse, briefcase etc. My old pedometer “thought” the bumps on the road when driving my car were steps, this doesn’t “think” that. It also calculates calories burned and aerobic steps. I guess that’s the equivalent of “running” steps on other pedometers. I does give me a break down of how many steps I’ve taken and ran throughout the day. Oh, it is also extremely silent. There is absolutely no clicking sound as with other pendulum type pedos. So, no one knows you’re wearing one nor asks “what’s making that sound?” Love it!
