I previously had the Kindle 2 for 30 days, having bought it on the last day it was available. It was slightly larger and heavier than the kindle 3, but never crashed. The lighter build of the Kindle 3 is partially a disadvantage; I suspect that if it were accidentally dropped, it would be more likely to get damaged than a Kindle 2. For this reason, there is probably more need to use a carrying case, which would add weight to the package and essentially negate the advantage versus Kindle 2 of lower device weight.

The Kindle 3 has crashed numerous times in the 5 days I have had it. This was particularly true when I used wi-fi to access the web or wikipedia. I finally decided to turn wi-fi off and just use the 3G connection. There has still been one crash since then, while I was navigating sections in a Kindle-version newspaper, but that is a lot better than crashing every few minutes.

I rate this device four stars, but rated the Kindle 2 five stars.

In the book, we are told that God encompasses all things, including us. God created us – a part of Himself – so He could experience Himself. A thing can only be experienced in relation to what it is not, and we find both good and bad in the world. But we are urged not to condemn what we call bad in the world. The discussion of this – the creative power that we share with God – is the most compelling part of the book. We are told that the creative process begins with thought, becomes more concrete through speech, and more concrete still through action. I bought this scale as a gift. I had purchased the older version you have to tap first last year and am very happy with it. This one didn’t work out of the box, had to return it for credit because they don’t offer to replace this paticular item. It didn’t appear damaged, but it didn’t work either. I hate to give a bad rating but just my experince with this scale. Like I said, the older version I have is a great scale, I guess you get a dud once in a while.
