Great toy with room for improvement. This is a great toy and the kids love it. What’s not to love with fridge magnets? The thing is, wrong body parts match to make silly creatures. Perhaps no noise should occur when that happens or the correct parts should be the only ones that “fit” together like a puzzle. My improvements are really for older kids and if implemented would then require more pieces.Still a great toy, especially for the age group specified.

Excellent product for toddlers. When my son laid eyes on this product he reached for LeapFrog Fridge Farm Magnetic Animal Set right away. Whats so neat about this is your child can play with it on the refridgerator or he can carry it to other rooms. Also, its very easy for them to take out the magnetic pieces and put them back in. My son accually learned his animals by this product and there sounds as well. He is 2 1/2 now and he still loves playing with it.

Musical fun for littles/volume control for parents. I bought this for my son after he fell in love with the one at his grandmother’s house. He still really likes it and now that he is older (14 months when we bought it)he dances to the music. Overall it is a cute toy. Here is a summary:

Pros: Engaging, bright colors, the animal shapes are fairly easy for little hands to manipulate, relatively small foot print on the fridge, portable, off switch (yeah!), two volume levels.

Cons: Paint comes off easily when bitten/gnawed/scraped–as kids do, animal pieces can fit into little mouths if determined (mine is), portable–can become a projectile!

I wish the programming would announce a message as soon as an animal is created instead of them having to push both pieces together at once in order for the song about the animal to be activated.

Still, a fun toy for the price and helpful for when you need to be in the kitchen, just don’t expect to hear much of anything else.
