Mountain Dual-Suspension Bike Topkick GMC and you

bike. Very good item I love GMC Topkick Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike and I will encourage others to get it also.

Ouch!. When I first purchased this product for my son he was enthusiastic. Once we got it home, assembled it, and started riding, the enthusiasim quickly wore off.

The derailers shift very sloppily, Had to replace them in week 2, the “shock” is a cheap spring that has little or no adjustment (replacement ~$ 200.00), the handle bar neck (2 bolt clasp) comes loose during every ride, replaced that neck in week 2 with a 4 bolt version, the front shocks started sticking in the 2nd week, I’m looking for new ones (avg cost ~$200.00).

Save your money and buy a more high end bike that already has these quality components, otherwise you will be spending lots of time at your local bikestore upgrading like I am.

Great Bang for the Buck. My old Cannondale finally gave out. The Topkick looked like the ticket, so I gave it a try. GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK!!! At $150.00 and free shipping, how could you beat this deal. Dual suspension, disc breaks and tough aluminum frame make this one a steal.

PROs: What I said above, including; cool color/style and easy assembly (even though there were no assembly instructions).

CONs: Center frame shock takes up valuable space on the frame for accessories. The paint finish is easily scratched off. The disc breaks take a large amount of tweaking to get set properly. The handlebars are too low (no easy way to raise). This is one heavy bike.

Overall, like I said before. Great Bang For The Buck!!
