I was pleasant suprised, then delighted, to find that this was NOT the usual, repellently cutesy Dummies book, but a very complete, straighforward guide to SuSE Linux 10. Additionally, it’s an A+ book for those who may be thinking about Linux but have been frustrated by their attempts to learn the basics and/or install one of the popular distributions unaided. Barkakati respects the reader’s intelligence, but he doesn’t assume too much. He starts easy and doesn’t leap suddenly onto a higher level of technical complexity, as many authors of computer books do. A common complaint among those who dip a toe into Linux is that it’s a technical nightmare. Barkakati does an excellent job of introducing new users to the world of the command line. As operating systems and applications have evolved, we’ve lost the best features of the DOS command line and text-based programs such as WordStar — namely, power and speed. Barkakati gives the reader a gentle introduction to that “closer to the computer” world.
SUSE Linux 10 For

Without question this is a 5 star product. It was easy to put together, easy to operate, and very light weight. The 12 amp power is a real plus. My 7 year old carpet looks like new! I had been cleaning it with a Dirt Devil carpet cleaner, but it had lost its mogo :0) I saw this amazing price on Amazon–which no one else could beat (not to mention free shipping), and I thought I would give it a try. So glad I did–the water in the tank was BLACK….thanks to our sweet dog Stella. Anyway, the bottom line is–you will not be disappointed.

The Catcher In The Rye is not just a story about your frustrated teenager who doesn’t like anything, as his little sister Phoebe points out in the book. It’s a story about the person that reflects the emotions given to us by the world. Here’s a 17 year old who just got kicked out of high school straight into the streets of New York City. He doesn’t seem mad about being kicked out of school, not at all. He enjoys his time as only Holden Caulfield knows how: Calls up old friends, goes to bars, pays for a prostitute (only to not have sex with her), dances with girls in clubs where the best Jazz players play, and eventually manages to get drunk out of his mind. Inside Holden, is a person who is fed up with the world though, the way things are, the way things aren’t. Holden is no role model; he’s a sex crazed, lying, cigarette smoker, but he’s himself. He never pretends to be anything he isn’t and stays true to that ever so famous title, The Catcher In The Rye.

Every person who has a dog should also have this brush. I have a Golden, and since I got the brush I do not have to vacuum every day. I bought it for $22, at the beginning I was afraid I was going to get something different, because as you can notice the average price is $50, but I got the original and completely new Furminator brush for just $22.

Looks good and bottom line, appears to be fairly accurate. I’ve yet to take it in with me and compare measured bodyweight between it and a professional scale but it can’t be far off. I really like the simplicity as well as the construction; looks like it’s built to last.

I agree with one of the other reviews that if you are a Christian this book does go against some of the fundamentals that Christians embrace.
I have the second and third books and in there he says that Hitler went to Heaven because death is not really bad. If you have no solid Christian doctrines than you might believe what the author says. We have no real way of knowing the truths of these books. Don’t always assume it is true, but it can be interesting reading. Please just beware of what you read and absorb from these books. They are not total truths or doctrines.

Instructions loop around but don’t resolve the problem with connecting to the internet. Can waste way too much time on this. Don’t even want to try doing this all again with tech support. Much more fruitful to bag it and do more constructive things.

A good read and most enjoyable. The humor in this book about nursing homes is right on the mark. The characters are believable and likeable. The story line is good and romantic. The ending is open for discussion–but good.
