Neale Donald Walsch put into words and answered my concerns about the interpretation of the world’s sacred texts.
Walsch says the material in “Conversations with God: An Uncommon Dialogue” was not written by him but happened to him. God did not stop talking to us 2,000 years ago He talks to anyone who will listen. This book is God’s latest word and if we are ready the Truth in these teachings will move, empower and change us.
How Walsch accessed the information matters not. What I treasure is the wisdom.
Examples of misguided teachings include: We cannot get to heaven by our actions. We are born in sin and will die in sin. There is only one way to heaven and it’s not through any undertaking of our own, but through the grace granted us by God and through the acceptance of His Son as our intermediary. Until we are “saved,” nothing we do, not the life we live, not the choices we make, not anything we undertake of our own will bears any influence because we are inherently unworthy. God created us this way and God’s Son has to save us.
Another misguided teaching is God’s conditional acceptance. We say God is love but if we break His commandments we will be punished by eternal banishment and damnation. We even created a mythology called the “devil.” We have forgotten what it is like to be loved without conditions.
In the spiritual world no one will judge us. There are no victims and villains for God does not judge His creation. Hell, the opposite of joy, is unfulfillment. It is knowing Who and What You Are and failing to experience that. The goal of the soul is to fully realize itself while in the body. We are born of God, we are pure love. Therefore bless every person and condition and give thanks. Affirm the perfection and show faith in God’s creation.
The fall of Adam and Eve was upliftment for without it relativity would not exist. Original sin, in truth, is First Blessing. No condition in the universe is “good” or “bad.” It just is.

Great product, easy to use right out of box, well designed. I’d used iPhone to read books before and this is 1000% better and easier on eyes. Amazon makes it easy to find books you are interested in and purchase or sample.

All in all, a great ebook reader that works as advertised and is priced reasonably. You can spend more for an iPad, but you end up with an inferior ebook reader that is also inferior netbook computer platform. I prefer a product that does what it is designed to do well.

Review: The Catcher in the Rye

I can understand why “The Catcher in the Rye” has been challenged in some schools and banned in some libraries. Holden Caulfield, the protagonist, uses a lot of profanity and rough language, and gets himself into some situations, such has having a prostitute in his hotel room, that many parents would find objectionable.

But many of us know someone like Holden Caulfield, or maybe we are even a bit like him ourselves, or perhaps we used to be; someone who is like a porcupine that wonders why people don’t get close to him.

I’m not sure why I waited so long to get around to reading this book that some of my friends have called one of their favorites. It was only after reading Salinger’s “Franny and Zooey” recently that several urged me to read “Catcher.” All I can say is that I’m glad I did.

I read this book on two sittings, something that is very rare for me. I couldn’t put it down. I wanted to find out what situation Holden was going to get himself into next, all within the two-day period after getting kicked out of yet another boarding school.

Holden Caufield is a pathetic mess at 16 years old. Not only does he swear a lot, he insults the people he wants to be with, he smokes excessively, drinks excessively when he can, pretends to be something he’s not (but calls everyone else “phonies”), all while he is grieving the death of his younger brother and at the same time missing his older brother who has gone to be a screenwriter in Hollywood.

His little sister, Phoebe, describes the situation accurately when she tells him, “You don’t like anything that is happening.”

Yes, I think we all know someone like that. Which is why this book is so appealing after all these years.

While there is no conclusive resolution to Holden’s situation, there is enough wisdom near the end of the book from his little sister, as well as from a former teacher, to make the book redemptive on many levels.

I have a Siberian Husky who recently blew her coat and I tried the FURminator and was astonished as to how much hair got brushed out. This product is great and I got a really good deal on it through Amazon. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a pet. It works wonders.

It’s hard for me to imagine this time in history and I’m glad of that. I’m grateful for those who fought for civil rights so that times are different now. This was a great story about good people wanting to do the right thing. The plot was interesting and the characters interesting. Most people would benefit from reading this book and would also enjoy it!

This furminator is very efficient and removes an amazing (and sort of disgusting) amount of cat hair. My cats normally hate being brushed but love the furminator. They purr and rub their faces against it. This size furminator is just fine for cats – I wouldn’t get the smaller one (the “for cats” purple one) because you’d have to do twice the number of strokes.

Negative reviews of other furminators say the comb is too sharp and it is possible to brush the cats bald and/or bloody. I think this is ludicrous. You’d have to attack your cat with the comb for this to happen.

The one negative aspect of furminators is that you must do long strokes to collect the cat hair, so you will never remove hair in certain areas. The cats themselves are perfectly capable of taking care of that hair themselves. If used once a week should result in hairball elimination.
