Great mouse, simple to use. I’m a student and freelance graphic designer, so I need a mouse that works well at home and travels easily to class and coffee shops, and doesn’t mind a variety of surfaces. This one works great!
My previous mouse had a USB dongle, but now I’m really liking the streamline nature of bluetooth. My MacBook Pro usually holds the signal, and I can pull my mouse out of the bag and it works immediately. Sometimes I need to reconnect it, but it’s not too much of a hassle. The mouse itself looks clean and simple to match my Mac (not a big deal, but a plus).
The only cons are minor: It has a distinct classic *click* sound, which in a quiet classroom makes it obvious to those around me when I’m not taking notes and doing something else. It also has a tendency to leave dark smudges on the surface below it, but these build up over time and easily come up with common household cleaner.
Overall a great mouse that I’d probably purchase again.

Cordless Internet Logitech Handset problem!
I am very pleased with the 305. You can but 2.5 305’s for the price of a 310XT with little to no loss in function. Although it looks like a small brick strapped to my wrist, I do not notice it at all when I run. It seems to take a while to acquire the GPS sats, but that may be as a result of my just standing there in the cold waiting to start my run. (It probably take less than a minute) If I planned ahead a little, I would let it aquire the sats while I am getting ready. I also have a 705 for my bike which probably takes almost as long.
This has a large, easy to read screen and was easy to program. The downloads to my computer work flawlessly. The 310XT is smaller an waterproof, but still can’t be used in a swim so the difference between $140 for the 305 and $350 for the 310XT became a no brainer. If money was not an issue, I would have the 310 just for the appearance (size). The price fluctuates about as much as the stock market on the 305 so take you time and you should be able to find it in the $150 price range or less.
The 310XT comes with Garmin’s new waterproof chest strap which can be purchased separately.
