Take G4 Apple Powerbook G3

After much hesistation, I finally broke down and purchased the 8GB I-pod touch. This is my first MP3 player ever, and after looking at several other brands, including the Sanza and Zune, I elected the I-pod.

In fact, I SWORE I would never get an Ipod. I am one who was very slow to “get with it” in regards to technology and hung on to my clunky portable disc player until the end. In time, I wanted a way to have simple, yet virtually unlimited access to my music, and this was my answer.

I’m not as savvy and know all of the I-pod tricks many of you experienced owners are. However, I hooked up to I-tunes and managed to import and sync my CD collection onto the device without a hitch, almost. I still need to get the cover art for my CDs on there. Haven’t downloaded DVDs or books yet, but will eventually. One thing I have discovered is that the device “grows” with you and in reality, is not that hard to use. Still, I want to get the most usage out of it and the apps.

I didn’t care for the headphones that came with the unit and purchased a much comfortable pair by the Sharper Image. Down the line, I will also invest in a decent FM transmitter. I did get a shell casing made by Belkin, as the steel backing gets smudged without much effort. I highly recommend a protective cover of some sort.

I must say that this is the among the best electronics purchases I have made and I would again like to thank Alex for his excellent review that I read just prior to my purchase.
