After J.D. Salinger died, my 92-year-old mother expressed interest in reading The Catcher in the Rye, so I ordered a used copy of the book The Catcher in the Rye through Amazon.com and had it sent to her. She really enjoyed reading it and gave a review of it at her retirement home book club. She told them she loved the book. I asked for her comments for this book review, and she said:
“I was curious because I heard that after J.D. Salinger died the book is deemed a classic. I hadn’t read it because at one time it was banned. I learned a lot about Holden Caulfield–coming of age. I laughed a lot when reading great descriptions of characters. I could gloss over swear words. A fun book open- ended.”

I never received this item from the seller after getting a shipment email. I waited a week for it to come in the mail, then got an email from the seller that it was out of stock! Had the get Amazon to give me a refund.

The great run-around. Schwinn Windwood Women’s 26-Inch CruiserI ordered this bike for my wife for Christmas and didn’t put Schwinn Windwood Womens Cruiser Bike together until after the holidays. I wanted a Pacific Shorewood but it was out of stock. When I opened the box, I pulled the bike out and the first thing I do is pump the tires. The front tire would not hold air. It lost air as fast as I could pump it in. I contacted Amazon and received an “off-shore” answer which gave me the number and email address of Schwinn. Amazon doesn’t stock parts, etc. I called the number and was told Schwinn was not responsible. I finally took the tire to a local bike shop and bought a new tube and had them install it. The original tube was torn and could not hold air. This is the worse experience I have had with Amazon and their affiliates to date. I have shopped Amazon for quite some time. Very disappointed.

Love it!. I purchased this bike to continue with my physical therapy after hip replacement surgery. It was delivered quickly–less than a week. My husband assembled Schwinn 140 Upright Exercise Bike for me in about 35 minutes. The bike is just about silent when it is in use, and I love the LED readout that helps you keep track of the time, speed, RPM’s, distance and calories burned. It’s stable but not too heavy to have to move from place to place. I started at about 5 minutes a day and I am up to 15 minutes. My hip is doing great and another benefit is that I have started to lose inches as well! I would recommend this bike to others.

Schwinn Ridge AL. I just received my bike. I was pleasantly surprised to see Schwinn Ridge AL Mens Mountain Bike had trigger shifters not grip. The bike is amazingly light! Even with out of tuning the bike yet it handles great! The ergonomics of this bike are very comfortable for me… hard to find when you are taller. The risers allow me to grip the handles without having to be bent over.

Good gadget for its price. Here is another update, after moved from one bike to another, Schwinn 17-Function Bike Computer started to work again! I believe there are some bad contact in the wiring but do not know exactly where.

Here is an update. My unit died after 14 months! The problem happens on the wires. I would still give it 4 stars for its price.

It is a good gadget for riders.

1. It is accurate in mileage – better than any of those wireless bike computers.

2. The temperate is not accurate.

3. The installation is easy. Pay attention that the direction of the bands to fasten it and the direction of the clip on your steering.

4. The battery comes inside the meter, not separately, have to change shortly after start.

5. Functions are good and practical, no gimics.

Right button malfunctions. Very easy to install on my bicycle but found out Schwinn 13-Function Wireless Bike Computer did not work properly. A malfunctioning right button on the computer kept me from obtaining all functions. I replaced it the Cateye CC-RD300W Strada wireless bicycle computer which functions correctly.

excellent bike. wow, what a great road bike. I purchased this bike just a few weeks ago for an alternative way to get to work since my transmission went out on my car and I couldnt afford to fix Schwinn Volare 700C Flat Bar Mens Road Bike or buy a new car. Easy to assemble and I have no prior bike experience. I’m 28 years old and haven’t owned a bike since I was about 13 years old. I can’t reaally compare this to others but I can say this that this bike is extremely light weight at about 42 pounds with thin tires to pick up speed quickly. I absolutely love this bike and the gears are easy to change and the bike handles the road very well but the schock’s aren’t the greatest and you will feel every bump on the road. the only thing I could recommend to replace from day one is the seat. The seat is hard as a rock and after a few miles your butt will feel like its on fire. Other than that this bike is great for the road, bike trails, or commuting to work just replace the seat. All in all I give this bike two thumbs up and highly recommend it.
